Do Not EVER Go To This Website

Posted by Dave Mincy on August 23, 2007

Okay, so I have your attention now. Be forewarned, I’m just trying to save you some money! I have a lot of people ask me where I get my music gear. Well, I’ve bought almost 100% of it at one place: Musician’s Friend (www.musiciansfriend.com). Now for most men, their “toy” stores are places like Home Depot or Staples. For me, add Musician’s Friend. Did I mention that they are a 100% online business open 24/7? And my point, you ask? Well in my particular case, this means that my wife has started sleeping with our debit card clutched in her hand. Okay, just kidding, but there is something about getting on the Musician’s Friend website anytime after, say, 10PM at night…it suddenly seems like you really do NEED every piece of gear they are featuring. Funny how that works.
Seriously, though, this website is useful for far more than buying gear. Here are just a few of the reasons that I depend on Musician’s Friend:

  1. I find the reviews–by people who have actually bought the product you are considering–are generally very accurate and have steered me away from bad decisions on a number of occasions.

  2. They have the easiest (and best) return process in the industry.

  3. Their 45/45 satisfaction and lowest price guarantee is awesome.

  4. They connect to all sorts of Manufacturer websites, professional reviews, and industry knowledge sites.

  5. They are offering more and more learning resources, including online music technology classes offered by Berklee College of Music.

  6. They have the biggest and best product selection in the industry.

Now that I’ve kept my end of the bargain…all the raving and shameless commercial plugging, etc…time to make sure they send me that $150 dollar gift card they promised me for a positive review…I WISH!)
Once again…let’s say it together now…Do Not EVER Go To This Website!
